Let's Wipe Out Ocean Plastic!

How to Wipe Out Ocean Plastic - even when on lock down!

We can all do our bit for the environment, even if we are on lock down and that's why Morecambe Bay Partnership is supporting the new campaign by LOVEmyBEACH to Wipe Out Ocean Plastic - or WOOP!

Aimed at young people, and young women in particular, the campaign seeks to raise awareness of the fact that many of the products they most commonly use such as wet wipes and period care products contain plastic and when disposed of incorrectly can end up in our oceans, on our beaches and harm wildlife.

Visit Morecambe Bay’s newest arrivals

Seven new bird totems arrive on our shores.

Seven sculptures of local coastal birds, designed by Ulverston-based artist and metalworker Chris Bramall of CB Arts, have been installed at sites around Morecambe Bay. They hold beautiful panels which tell seven stories of our wonderful waders.
